We recently rode the Hero Splendor Plus XTEC & here’s what we think about its real world performance

Same design language as the original Hero Splendor – But with more premium touches

Gets a beautiful matte finish & 3D badging – Manages to stand out compared to other variants

Powered by a 97.2cc engine offers decent performance – Can easily execute quick overtakes in traffic

It feels quite light & agile both when moving it around & riding – Can easily cut through traffic

Suspension is towards the stiffer side, so most bumps and potholes on road will be felt

Brakes do not inspire confidence – Rear drum lacks feedback & the rear wheel can slide during hard braking

Offers an upright & relaxed riding posture – Perfect for short rides in the city

Instrument console has a clean layout & is really easy to read under most lighting conditions

Overall, an amazing commuter but over the years has become too expensive – Starting at Rs 75,441
