Always service your bike from an authorised service centre, as per the service schedule in the bike’s manual.

It is important for your vehicle’s warranty, as missing even a single service can lead to the company rejecting warranty claims later on.

A stain on the body for a long time can damage the paint. Keeping the bike clean helps protect paint and parts from damage.

Rust is the most lethal for a bike; always prevent it with an anti-rust spray.

Clean and lube the chain when needed to keep it rust-free and running smoothly.

Chain slack should be adjusted periodically - this can be done by a skilled mechanic, since it is a slightly technical task.

Always maintain manufacturer-recommended tyre pressure for better fuel efficiency, grip, tyre life, stability, and safety.

A tyre can last anywhere between 5,000km to 15,000km depending on your riding style and the tyre construction. Keep a check of tread grooves for wear - shallow grooves warrant a replacement.

Regularly check coolant, brake fluid and engine oil levels. If they reach low levels, get the bike checked and the fluids topped up.

These fluids aren’t meant to be "consumed", and dropping levels could mean there’s something wrong.

Always use the specific grade of engine oil and brake fluid recommended by the manufacturer.

If your bike is from the pre-E20 era, then E20 fuel might gradually deteriorate the internals of your bike.

Get your bike checked in shorter intervals for damage caused by E20 fuel.
