BSA has launched the Scrambler in the UK at a price of GBP 5999 (around Rs 5,23,338).

It uses the same engine as the Gold Star 650, making the same 45PS and 55Nm.
It is a proper scrambler style motorcycle with rugged looks, a slightly tall stance, block pattern tyres and a beak-like fender.
The Scrambler 650 also continues with the 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, same as the Gold Star.
The bike gets 41mm conventional telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers with 5-step preload adjustability.
Being a scrambler, the bike should offer slightly more suspension travel than the road-spec Gold Star 650.
It runs on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheels, along with a 110-section front and a 150-rear Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres.
There is a 320mm front and a 255mm rear disc brake setup with dual channel ABS.
At 215kg (kerb), the Scrambler is 14kg heavier than the Gold Star, and at 820mm the seat height is 40mm more.
The BSA Scrambler is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2025, and will compete with the Royal Enfield Bear 650.
