We recently rode the Ather Rizta Z 2.9kWh variant & here’s what we think about it

Its boxy design & bright colour options on offer make it stand out

Gets a 4.3kW motor – Has a more gradual power delivery & offers a less sporty riding experience

2 riding modes: Smart Eco & Zip – Offers claimed range of 123km on the Z 2.9kWh variant

Zip mode feels peppy enough – Smart Eco feels a bit sluggish & struggles on inclines

Offers agile handling – Is easy to manoeuvre, both in city traffic and at higher speeds

The long cushioned seat can easily accommodate both taller & larger pillion riders, with enough room for extra luggage

The softer suspension offers a comfortable riding experience over bad roads – But sharp bumps can be felt though

34-litre under seat storage can accommodate a lot of items – Making it quite practical for family use

Features regen braking with Ather’s Magic Twist throttle (reverse throttle) – Brings the scooter to a halt without applying the brakes

Also gets a Skid Control feature (traction control) – Which prevents the rear wheel from slipping for added safety

7-inch TFT display – Easy to use UI & offers a lot of features like Google Maps navigation

Overall, with its simple design, practicality and interesting features, the Ather Rizta makes for a solid family e-scooter

Priced at Rs 1,24,999 ex-showroom Bengaluru, Including Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme subsidy
