Ampere has launched the new Magnus Grand, priced from Rs 89,999 (introductory ex-showroom)

It comes in two colour schemes: Ocean Blue and Matcha Green, with golden accents on the front fender and side panels
The e-scooter is powered by a 2.3kWh LFP (Lithium Ferro Phosphate) battery, with a claimed certified range of 118km. It takes about 5-6 hours to fully charge from its 7.5A charger
It is driven by a hub-mounted electric motor with a 2.4kW peak power output. It can reach a claimed top speed of 65kmph, and has a claimed 0-40kmph time of 6.5 seconds
It has three riding modes: Eco, City, and Reverse. In the Eco mode, Ampere claims a true range of 85-90km
It gets a new LCD instrument console with optional smartphone connectivity. It also gets an LED headlamp and indicators, and comes with a USB charging port
Its pillion grab rail should be a bit better as compared to the Magnus Neo, since it is thicker and raised higher.
The Ampere Magnus Grand rolls on 12-inch steel wheels wrapped in 90-section tubeless tyres at both ends. It has 130mm drum brakes with a combined braking system as standard
The scooter gets a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers. It has a payload capacity of 150kg, weighs 108kg (kerb), and has a ground clearance of 165mm
It rivals e-scooters like the Zelio EVA and the Ola S1 X.
