The Yamaha MX King has been launched in Malaysia, and is called the Y16ZR-R.

The moped is available in three colour options: Kouka Grey, Raijin Green, and Yoru Black and one limited edition Pramac Racing Replica.
The standard variant costs RM 10,888 (approx. Rs 2.54 lakh), and the limited Pramac Racing GP Edition costs RM 13,388 (approx. Rs 3.11 lakh).
The Prima Mark livery features Öhlins rear suspension.
The scooter gets major engine, electronic and aerodynamic updates.
It gets sharper styling and a more aerodynamic front fairing with brighter LED headlamp.
It gets a 155cc liquid-cooled engine producing 18.2 PS at 9,500 rpm and 14.4 Nm at 8,500 rpm, with a chain drive
The rear sprocket gets 48 teeth (from 46 teeth) for better acceleration and a revised, sportier-sounding engine note.
The Y16ZR-R also gets traction control.
It gets a simple-looking LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity.
The deliveries of standard variant has begun from 10 August 2026, with the Limited Pramac Edition following in mid-August 2026
