TVS Scooty Pep Plus is a hopeless scooter and buying it was a very big mistake. Below is the list of problems that I faced using it -
1. Poor pick-up
2. Poor braking
3. Tyre life is very less - 12,000 kilometers
4. TVS servicing problems - Poor service
5. High cost of maintenance
6. Low mileage - 40 kmpl
7. Low top speed - 55 kmph
8. Front wheel bearings replaced very early
9. Horn replaced once
10. Unreliable wiring
11. Irregular oil change intervals
12. Very low minimum ground clearance - touches the road at speed breakers and big potholes
13. Not able to perform with two occupants
14. Poor suspension - you can feel every bump on the road
15. Uncomfortable pillion footrest
TVS has simply saved a lot on its build quality, it is a cheap vehicle with funky looks and nothing else. Most of the women buy it because generally they don’t have much technical knowledge about vehicles and they go for the looks only.
