BS6 TVS Jupiter Highlights
TVS has launched the BS6-compliant Jupiter Classic ET-Fi in India at Rs 67,911 (ex-showroom Delhi). As the name suggests, fuel-injection comes as standard
and claims to offer 15 per cent better fuel efficiency over the BS4 version. The inclusion of fuel-injection and ECU adds a premium of Rs 7,921 to the BS6-compliant scooter’s price tag. Interestingly, the scooter now comes with a tinted visor and an apron mounted cubbyhole with a USB charging port.
Differences extend to the scooter’s underpinnings as well. For instance, the BS6 model features a drum unit compared to the BS4 Jupiter Classic’s 220mm front disc. The Jupiter Classic ET-FI is the first and only 110cc scooter to comply with BS6-emissions as of now, and the only one to be equipped with FI in its segment. In terms of rivals, it goes up against the Hero Maestro Edge and the Honda Activa 5G.
