Both Activa 5G and Burgman Street are good options to buy. Activa 5G is powered by 109.19 cc engine whereas Burgman Street is powered by 124 cc engine.Activa 5G delivers a claimed mileage of 60kmpl. If we talk about Burgman Street, it claims that it delivers a mileage of 53.5 kmpl. If we talk about power, Burgman Street has an upper hand while Activa 5G is better fuel-efficient. If we talk about riding comfort, Burgman Street consists of better Suspension, 12-inch wheels (Activa 5G has 10-inch wheels) which handles potholes easily as compare to Activa 5G. The Burgman Street comes across as a more premium offering, considering the level of comfort, refinement, quality and practical features on offer. That said, Honda will continue to maintain its position as the best-selling scooter in India, owing to the name it has made for itself over the past decade. Q.

    Q. How is the overall performance of Suzuki Burgman?

    • Bikedekho Experts
    • on 21 May 2020

Suzuki has stuck to the 124cc single-cylinder engine for the BS6 Suzuki Burgman 125, the motor is now fuel-injected. With the BS6 updates, there is a slight change in engine output. While max power of 8.7PS is the same as on the BS4 motor, peak torque of 10Nm is 0.2Nm lower. Though it is a bit heavy, in our test, 0-60kmph sprint was achieved in 8.69 seconds, as opposed to 9.20 seconds on the Access. And as if that wasn’t enough, the Burgman Street pipped the Access by 3kmph to reach a true top speed of 93kmph in our test runs. Roll-on times from 20-50kmph are the same though: 4.65 seconds. So while it’s quick at the bottom and the top, the added weight does impact its momentum in the city. Nothing worth complaining though. Coming to refinement, the Burgman also feels more refined than the Access, which sounds a bit gruff throughout. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride in order to clear your doubts.
