At last a Bullet 500 Owner, but not so happy :-)

Since my childhood I saw my uncle riding old bullet and was very found of owning one myself. So At last I managed to buy one 2016 February. Now using it for almost more than 18months it seems like the performance of the bike is way shot of my expectation. The quality is doubtful as the chrome parts started rusting after 6-8 months despite my maintenance efforts every week. The bike Ok to ride at a maximum speed of 80 kmph. Do not try above that, you will be disappointed.

Another key weeks points is its brakes, the back brake is almost dysfunctional as rider will not be able to stop the bike immediately. Consider at leat 25-30 meter stopping distance and always use both brakes together. The suggestion is to go for other models which has disc brakes in the rear whees also.

Please take extra care of the chrome items like silencer pipe, handle bars and the head lamp cover. All these items tend to rust after 6 months. When checked the same with dealers they these are not covered under warranty.

Bullet 500 cost almost 180K on road and with this premium price we expect some quality and durability for such a model with legacy.

Even the engine sound is not so pleasing even from the initial times. We can clearly hear a knocking sound which the mechanics say which will subside later, but it never happened.

Overall I am not satisfied and rather disappointed with the overall quality of the items and it seems like the manufacturers has lowered the quality standard in the newer models.
