The bike comes as the younger twin of Classic 500 and is loved by almost every Royal Enfield lover owing to its alluring retro
styling. Despite of regular updates, the automaker has retained the classic retro look of the bike, which comes as a USP for the Classic 350. The motorcycle sports a vintage inspired design theme that gracefully envelopes its robust and sturdy body structure.
The contemporary rounded headlamps of the bike with chrome casing add towards the classy front stance of the bike. Design and Features
Royal Enfield Classic 350 has the genetics of the trend that continues to appeal the Indian masses since a long ago. Though the machine was launched back in 2010, it continued the looks of the traditional Royal Enfield motorcycles. The reason to choose the traditional appearance was the charm and authenticity it offers and makes it extraordinary. Only technical advancements are made to the machine, which is highly necessary for the manufacturer to stay strong against its competitors. However, there is no such manufacturer that makes motorcycles as affordable and promising as Royal Enfield.
The machine is crafted on a single downtube type chassis that holds the engine as a stressed member. The wheelbase of the motorcycle is 1370mm that keeps the ride stable throughout the journey, while minimum ground clearance of 135mm also adds stillness to the manoeuvring. The suspension system that keeps the ride smooth and refreshing includes telescopic forks at the front and twin gas charged shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload at the rear. The motorcycle rolls on the 90/90 – 19-inch front and 110/90 – 18-inch rear tyre with spoke wheels. The wheels further sport a 280mm disc brake with 2-piston calliper at the front and a 153mm drum brake at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The kerb weight of the machine is 187kg, which helps it stay ground and keeps the traction level high and effective.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 sports a look of a heritage motorcycle with no advance equipment and traditional styling. The round headlamp and long fenders remind of the motorcycles of the late 20th century. The bold and smart fuel tank has a storage capacity of 13.5 litres. Old school seat design of the bike makes it look unique and appears to be comfortable for both the rider and the pillion. From the rear, it looks aggressive and interesting with long shining muffler and bullet type side indicators fitted beside petite round taillight. Instrumentation of the bike is outdated and sports a speedometer and an odometer. The minimalistic side panels of the machine are in body colour along with rear and front fenders. The overall look of the motorcycle is electrifying.
Braking and Handling
The engineers at Royal Enfield have precisely focused towards the braking performance of the bike owing to its heavy built and pumped-up capabilities. The Classic 350 comes equipped with a 280 mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear with dual-channel ABS. Along with presenting you a great amount of riding comfort, the bike scores high in its handling, which is a conduct of its well-calibrated suspension system. The front wheel of the bike come encased with telescopic fork suspension unit and the rear end features twin gas charged shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload suspensions.
Safety and Features
Royal Enfield 350 Classic is surely a reliable offering from the motorcycle manufacturer. The sharp and dominating headlamp unit of the bike now comes integrated with the mandatory AHO (Auto Headlamp ON) feature, which makes sure that the headlamp remains in an automatic ON mode at any point of time irrespective of the surrounding light. This feature is introduced to reduce the rate of road accidents by allowing the rider a clear visibility at the road. With this, the automaker ensures that the rider is presented with an authoritative amount of control, which is owing to the prompt and powerful braking assembly of the bike. This comprises of front 280 mm disc brake and 153 mm drum brake unit at the rear end.
