The past week has had a few important BS6 news and launches, especially from TVS. Meanwhile, Bajaj and Vespa are set to launch their BS6 products. Royal Enfield has big plans for electric mobility and the India launch dates for the Husqvarnas are out. Here are the week’s top stories: 

 

TVS Launches BS6 products:

TVS starts its BS6 onslaught with the launch of the new Apache RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V. Along with a new BS6 motor, it gets and updated headlamp and a few new features. Read more here. TVS followed up the Apache launch with the BS6 iteration of the Jupiter. It gets a new fuel-injected motor, a new colour and a few new features. That also increases its retail price. Get details.

 

Royal Enfield teases electric future:

Royal Enfield has been working on an electric two-wheeler platform since last year. Electric mobility is a part of the company’s 2.0 strategy along with new dealerships and products. Bajaj Pulsar RS200 launched with dual-channel ABS:

Bajaj has silently launched the Pulsar RS200 with dual-channel ABS. Surprisingly, there are no cosmetic updates to the RS200 but Bajaj could do that with the BS6 version slated for launch in the next few months. Get prices and more details here.

 

BS6 Vespa deliveries:

Even Vespa has joined the BS6 bandwagon with the SXL 150. While it is yet to officially launch the scooter, the SXL 150 has already been spotted testing and dealers have started accepting bookings. Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 launch timeline revealed

There is finally an India launch date for the Husqvarna 401 twins. Both motorcycles use KTM underpinnings and motor. Bajaj will manufacture the motorcycles in India and sell them via KTM dealerships. Get the launch date and other details.
