The TVS Apache RTR range consisting of the Apache RTR 160 2V, Apache RTR 160 4V, Apache RTR 180 and the Apache RTR 200 4V has retained its position at the top of the list this month. However their sales have dropped considerably, by 38%. Looking at TVS brand sales numbers that we have detailed here, the Hosur-based manufacturer looks to be balancing their production between all their models, presumably due to the prolonged supply chain disruptions that has plagued the industry.

Simultaneously, the combined sales of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, N160, RS200 and the NS200 have witnessed a huge leap of nearly 140% to clinch the second spot on this list. The Pulsar N160, despite being launched only recently, saw limited units dispatched to dealers around the country, and given how impressed we were by this peppy bike after riding it for a day, we can expect the Pulsar range sales to continue the upwards growth.

Yamaha continues to impress, grabbing the third and fourth spots by retailing 16,115 units of the MT-15 Version 2.0 and the R15 range, which consists of the R15 V4, R15M and R15S V3. A surprise entrant in the fifth spot is the Bajaj Avenger 160 Street, which replaced the Hero Xtreme 160R, by commanding a growth in sales of almost 165% compared to last month. The Bajaj baby cruiser sold 1,022 units more than Hero’s entry level streetfighter.

In other news, Hero has launched a special edition of the Hero XPulse 200 4V, called the Rally edition. Bookings for this bike are now open exclusively on the company’s website, until July 29.
