The increase in demand for classic bikes has helped the cult bike maker post consistent sales figures

Royal Enfield has sold over 60,142 units in both domestic and international markets in the month of April, thereby registering a growth of 25 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The company has sold 58,684 bikes in the country as opposed to 47,037 units in April last year. The growth in the domestic market now stands at 25 per cent.
When it comes to sales numbers in the export market, the bikemaker has sold 1,578 units, an increase of 418 units over last year’s figures which pegs the growth in export markets at about 35 per cent.
In 2015, Royal Enfield’s set-up its first direct distribution subsidiary outside India in the US with Royal Enfield North America (RENA). The brand’s recent foray into the Brazilian market is a testament to its plans on creating an impact in the international market. The newly-formed subsidiary - Royal Enfield Brazil - will not only sell bikes to the dealers, but also conduct all front-end development and support activities such as marketing and after-sales service in the country. Royal Enfield also has a strong presence in Colombia, another important two-wheeler market in Latin America. Apart from business expansion, the brand has also been actively organising rides like the recent One Ride 2017 and Tour of Nepal 2017 which attract and inspire numerous riders from all over the country to ride and explore the country and its borders.
