Has the film star now joined the electric mobility bandwagon?

Brahmastra fame Ranbir Kapoor is known to have a huge collection of exotic cars. He, however, was recently spotted riding an electric cycle in Mumbai. The new dad has been seen numerous times at the wheel of all his expensive four-wheelers, but seeing him ride something with two wheels is rare.

Ranbir is seen riding the Mate City electric bicycle, which is priced at 2,299 Euros, approximately around Rs 1.94 lakh! That’s more expensive than the MotoGP edition of the Yamaha R15M.

The Mate City electric bicycle packs a 250W hub motor paired to a 13Ah battery pack, to offer a range of 80km on a single charge. It offers a five-level pedal assist with a top speed of 25kmph. It also features an LCD display panel to give the rider information about the battery level, range and pedal assist levels.

What’s unique about this electric cycle is that it is foldable, which would come handy when the actor would want to quickly switch from two wheels to four.

As is widely known, Ranbir is married to Alia Bhatt and the couple together own cars like the Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, Audi A8 L W12, Audi A6, BMW 7 Series, Audi Q5 and previous generation Land Rover Range Rover Vogue.

While the Mate City is not for sale in India, if you’re looking for a similar foldable electric cycle, you can check out the Svitch XE Plus. Other popular e-cycles in India are the Hero Lectro C5X and Firefox Adventron.
