Hero Electric has launched two new variants called the Optima ER and Nyx ER. Both the variants offer extended range over their standard models, hence the suffix ‘ER’. So, what do you get for this price increment? Both use the same 48V battery pack as their standard variants. Even the cycle parts remain the same as the lower-spec model. However, what has changed is the range. While the standard Optima and Nyx have a range of 55km and 50km respectively, the ER variants have a claimed range of 100km!

Along with offering a wide range of electric two-wheelers, the manufacturer is also planning to increase its touchpoints from 650 to 1,000 by next year.
