RE’s upcoming cruiser’s latest spy shot also gives us a closer look at its instrument console
The upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has been spotted on test runs yet again in India, and this time around, not only did we get a closer view at its instrument console, but also got to hear its exhaust note for the first time.

The spy shots reveal that the upcoming 650cc cruiser from Royal Enfield gets a single instrument console complemented by the Tripper navigation assist pod. This instrument cluster is very identical to the one seen on its smaller sibling, the Meteor 350, that has an analogue dial, likely for the speedometer with a digital inset for the fuel gauge, tripmeter, and odometer.

Another interesting bit about the new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is its exhaust note. It is distinctly different from the sounds Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650 produce, for it has a bassier tone. This could either be due to the engine tuning of the cruiser or its end cans. However, the bassy sound could also be due to the camera’s audio quality limitations.
The test mule of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 looked production-ready. However, with the Hunter 350 debuting in August 2022, the Super Meteor 650 could make it to Enfield’s showrooms only by the end of this year.
RE could price the cruiser at Rs 3.35 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which would make it substantially more affordable than the likes of the Kawasaki Vulcan S and the Benelli 502C.
