The XC variant is Rs 26,540 more expensive than the Scrambler 400 X

    Quick News Highlights

    • Gets tubeless spoke wheels

    • Many accessories are now part of standard fitment

    • It is 5kg heavier than the 400 X

Triumph Motorcycles has officially launched the Scrambler 400 XC priced at Rs 2,94,147 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Scrambler 400 XC sits above the Scrambler 400 X in terms of price and off-road ability, and is also now the most expensive Triumph 400cc bike.

    What’s New

The main difference between the Scrambler 400 X and the Scrambler 400 XC is that the latter gets  tubeless spoke wheels with tubeless tyres. However,  the size remains the same as the 400 X, with a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel. Additionally, the bike comes with a high-mounted front beak fender, a painted windscreen, adjustable clutch and brake levers - all as part of standard fitment. Notably, the upper engine guards that come standard on the other Triumph 400s are missing here - it only gets the lower engine guards. It is 5kg heavier at 190kg as compared to 185kg for the 400 X (both kerb weights). It gets three new colour schemes: Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White.

    Pricing

The Triumph Scrambler 400 XC has been priced at Rs 2,94,147 - making it Rs 26,540 more expensive than the 400 X which is available at Rs 2,67,607 (both prices ex-showroom). The bike comes with a standard five-year warranty that includes one year of roadside assistance. Customers have the option of purchasing extended warranty coverage for up to 10 years. For those looking to customize their bike, Triumph is offering over 20 new optional accessories for the Scrambler 400 XC.

    What’s Same

The Scrambler 400 XC uses the same 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine found in the Scrambler 400 X and Speed 400. It produces 40PS at 8,000rpm, 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. It also includes the same features like the switchable traction control, off-road ABS mode, ride-by-wire throttle, all-LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument console, and a USB charging port.

    BikeDekho Says

The Scrambler 400 XC has been positioned as the more rugged, off-road-focused version of the Scrambler 400 X. We hope Triumph will offer the tubeless spoke wheels as an accessory to existing 400 X owners. The 400 XC competes with other scramblers like the Royal Enfield Scram 440, the Yezdi Scrambler, and the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. The XC is the only bike in this segment to offer tubeless spoke wheels and is more off-road focused than the rest of them. The Yezdi has the smallest engine and is the least refined. The Scram 440 is the most basic here with an air-cooled engine and is the heaviest as well. While the Svartpilen is just a ‘scrambler-inspired’ road bike with spoke wheels.

      Beginner friendly scrambler
It looks good and good for daily commute and short tours. The mileage of the bike is good .Bike is light weight which makes it easy to handle in heavy traffic. Pillion seat is comfortable for short tours. Ride is good and fine. Sometimes it lacks power in higher speeds especially at highways. Its great for daily ride and commute. The mileage is great. I had some issues with the mirror which got fixed after 1 did service. Otherwise it was a pretty fun to ride bike. Yes, absolutely i would recommend this bike to someone who wants to use it as a daily ride and want to go for short tours on it. The bike is comfortable and very beginner friendly. Finding triumph service centre can be tough if that's not an issues, one should consider this bike.

      Review as per the user
I choose this bike bcz of the power and for the style. I love the colour the pattern of the design. the height of the bike is best for mine segment and the handle bar is very smooth for those sharp turn. positive but the mileage is quite okay, I feel heating issue limited time not every time this is the negative side if this bike. And the positive side of this bike is this bike is best for city use and also for the touring purpose bcz of this 400 cc engine. yes if anyone want the power then why not the 400 cc is best from the city and touring use. The torque of the bike is fine and powerfull. If anyone don't want hard handling then they can choose speed 400 bcz this bike handling was so smooth.

The size of the bike giant and the bold look specially one in white colour with premium build quality and the power with tractable engine the led head lamps and controls is all that I got attracted towards it. Till now I haven't went on any long rides but some average ride it was very smooth specially the suspension offroad is worth. At high speed felt some buzz vibration but thats but common at that speed you felt so not major problem. Definitely I have already suggested it to one my friend and after 2 months he also bought. If a person who likes doing long ride and off roading specially if the person has good height then it's a perfect bike I would recommend.
