From a supermoto to an electric scooter – here’s what to look forward to this month

April 2025 looks exciting with multiple two-wheeler launches across various segments. From the KTM 390 SMC R to the Kawasaki Z900 and Bajaj Chetak 3503, here are the bikes and scooters expected to be launched this month:

    1. KTM 390 Enduro R

KTM has already launched the 390 Enduro R globally, and is now expected to bring it to India by April 2025. The bike has a typical enduro design with minimal fairing, high ground clearance and seat height, long travel suspension. It is powered by the same 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine shared with the 390 Adventure and 390 Duke. Expected pricing around the Rs 3.30 lakh mark (ex-showroom).

    2. KTM 390 SMC R

KTM could also launch the 390 SMC R alongside the Enduro R. It will be the first sub-500cc supermoto in India at its launch. The bike shares almost all its components with the Enduro R and is the road going version of the same. The difference is that the 390 SMC R gets 17-inch wheels with road-biased tyres at both ends, and a lower seat height, ground clearance. The pricing could be around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom).

    3. KTM 390 Adventure R

The third KTM bike on this list, the 390 Adventure R is expected to be launched in India ‘if there is enough demand’. The bike is already being manufactured in India for export markets, but KTM may introduce it domestically. It shares its underpinnings with the 390 Adventure and Adventure X, but this will be the most off-road-focused version with higher ground clearance and longer travel suspension. Price is expected to be around Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom).

    4. 2025 Kawasaki Z900

The 2025 Kawasaki Z900’s design has been patented in India, indicating that it could likely be launched soon in India. The updated model still has sharp lines and angles, but the overall design has been tweaked and it looks quite similar to the bigger Z H2 now. It has a 948cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine producing 124PS and 97.4Nm. The bike also gets ride-by-wire, traction control, dual-channel ABS, cruise control, bidirectional quickshifter, and a new TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. We expect the 2025 Z900 to be priced around Rs 9.9 lakh (ex-showroom).

    5. Hero Karizma XMR 250

Hero MotoCorp showcased the Karizma XMR 250 at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The bike has a muscular fairing, a large windshield, and winglets under the headlight. It is powered by the same 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the recently launched Xtreme 250R. It produces 30PS, 25Nm, and comes paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Expected pricing is around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom).

    6. Bajaj Chetak 3503 Electric Scooter

Bajaj introduced the Chetak 35 electric scooter range back in December 2024 in three total variants: 3501, 3502, and 3503. While the first two variants were launched last year, the Bajaj Chetak 3503 was not. The variants differ in terms of features and hardware, but all retain the Chetak’s retro-modern styling and electric powertrain. Pricing will most likely be under Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).

These upcoming launches make April 2025 an exciting month for motorcycle enthusiasts. Which one are you most excited about?

Chetak 3501 Hills review After 3 months
It is the only EV scooter which has direct drive motor, which ensures smooth power delivery prevents Power loss. Battery is placed in foot area by which the user gets huge boot space, App connectivity which provides Geo fencing, Remote immobilization, Real time monitoring, Over speeding alert and also Speed lock. Suspension could have been improved, since it only features single-sided leading link suspension in the front and an offset mono-shock at the rear It feels rough especially in hilly potholes and unexpected bumps, Center stand often messes with the edges of the roads in hills I recommend Chetak for its torque in hills especially when compared to IQube and Ather both feature Belt drive system which requires more maintenance in Hills. In a Slope Belt drive system is very laggy while a still start situation it is crucial. Chetak offers a smooth power delivery in hills.

      Ready to Adventure.
I also have a Duke, Adv has covered all the issues which I have faced on Duke when I use to go on long rides, Ride is also plush coupled with a great engine which proves itself on all grounds. Also it has a decent fuel efficiency considering its engine performance. Bike's comfortable its mileage is also good I get a decent range, but the engine won't feel as raw as BS4 duke, great electronics and safety. Just having engine oil consumption on higher side. Also the Trampler tyres give more life than Turanzas which came initially. Long hauling person should definitely buy this bike, long rides are so hassle free. And comfortable, also if you have to carry any luggage they have provided good anchoring points. Tieing a back pack or a duffle bag is easy.

I wanted an upgrade from 125 cc so I chose the 250cc segment. i got my xtreme 250r this month and my 1st opinion it's crazy good i don't know why people complain about engine oil leak and other stuff if you cold start your bike properly there won't be any such issue. Seating posture is comfortable for me although I feel a bit soreness in my forearms. Mileage since I have not done the 1st service i am getting around 35 in long rides but around 20 for areas with much traffic If u want the fastest 250 go for it. Road presence is too too good. If you don't have a problem with the mileage you are going to love this bike. The only thing I don't like is that the service can only be done in premium showrooms.
