KTM has finally revealed the 2025 390 Adventure range globally at the EICMA 2024, in Milan, Italy. The all-new 390 Adventure range includes three bikes: the 390 Adventure R, 390 Enduro R, and 390 SMC.
Design
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R features a similar rally-inspired bodywork, as the previously spied test bike and has the KTM’s signature orange and white paint scheme. It gets knuckle guards and a raised front fender. The ADV also gets vertically-stacked projector LED headlights and a slightly taller windscreen. The bike also comes with a vertically-placed instrument console which is mounted slightly higher than the handlebar, making it look like a rally tower. It gets a long single-piece seat and a sleek tail section. It has an underbelly exhaust and also has a bash plate too.
The 2025 KTM 390 Enduro R, comes with a typical enduro bike design, which is also similar to the test mules spotted earlier. At the front, it gets a small headlight and a raised front fender. The bike has slimmer bodywork as compared to the 390 Adventure R and gets a long and flat single-piece seat. It has a taller single-piece handlebar and a slim rear design.
The 2025 KTM 390 SMC is a supermoto bike that comes with a similar design as the KTM 390 Enduro but has an even slimmer bodywork. It also has sportbike tyres, instead of the offroad-specific block pattern ones on the Enduro. It comes with a similar flat, single-piece seat and an underbelly exhaust.
Engine & Underpinnings
The KTM 390 Adventure R, 390 Enduro R and 390 SMC, all are powered by the same 398.63cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter. The 398.63cc engine produces 46PS at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm on the KTM 390 Duke. However, the bikes may also get larger rear sprockets and the engine is also expected to be tuned for a better low-end and mid-range performance in the new 390 ADV range.
All the bikes get new chassis as compared to the current 390 Adventure. The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R gets a preload-adjustable inverted fork with 230mm suspension travel. The ADV is equipped with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, with block-pattern tyres. It has a tall seat height of 885mm. It gets disc brakes on both ends, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
The 2025 KTM 390 Enduro R and 390 SMC also get a long-travel suspension setup that consists of an inverted front fork and a rear monoshock, but the suspension travel hasn't been revealed yet. The 390 Enduro will get 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, wrapped with block pattern tyres on both ends. The 390 SMC seems to have 17-inch spoke wheels on both ends.
Features
The 390 Adventure R gets the same 5-inch TFT instrument console as the 390 Duke with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. The bike may also get rider aids from its naked sibling including, switchable ABS, cornering ABS, traction control, and cruise control. The ADV may also get different riding modes to suit its nature.
The 390 Enduro R and the 390 SMC get a smaller digital instrument console, likely to be LED. It will offer basic information. They may also get a few rider aid features from the 390 Duke like the switchable ABS and traction control. The 390 Enduro is likely to get different off-road specific riding modes whereas the 390 SMC may get the launch control and riding modes from the 390 Duke.
Expected Prices and Launch Date
The KTM 390 Adventure and the 390 Enduro are likely to be launched in India sometime in 2025, however, the 390 SMC may not come to India anytime soon. The 390 Adventure is likely to cost around the Rs 3.8 lakh mark. Whereas, the 390 Enduro may be priced slightly above the 390 Duke somewhere between Rs 3.2 lakh to 3.3 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
