2018 Honda Dio Launched; Offered In Standard And Deluxe Variant

The 2018 Honda Dio comes with a slew of features and updates at a fraction of the cost

Honda has launched the standard variant of the 2018 Dio at Rs 51,292 while the Deluxe variant will cost Rs 53, 292 (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

For the year 2018, the scooter comes equipped with LED headlights, a four-in-one ignition key slot with a seat-opening button, front hook and underseat retractable hooks. It also features Honda’s CBS braking system which enables you to operate both brakes by applying pressure on just the rear lever, a handy feature for novice riders. In addition to the standard features, the deluxe variant receives a fully digital instrument console with 3-step eco speed indicator and service due indicator, and gold-coloured rims.

The standard variant is offered in a total of five colour options - orange, yellow, red, blue and grey metallic. The Deluxe variant, on the other hand, will be offered in four different colours - yellow metallic, green metallic, black and grey metallic.

Powering the 2018 Dio is a BSIV-compliant 109.19cc air-cooled motor that makes 7.9PS at 7000rpm and 8.91Nm of torque at 5500rpm. The Dio Deluxe competes against the Yamaha Ray-Z (Rs 50,817), TVS Wego (Rs 53,083) and the Suzuki Let's (Rs 49,030 all ex showroom, Delhi).

Powering the Dio is Honda’s trusted 110cc HET (Honda Eco Technology) engine with a perfect balance between mileage and power. The engine promises improved combustion, reduced friction and better cooling to bring out best performance. Customers can also get an optional mobile charging socket to charge their smartphones on the go.

Dio comes equipped with Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer technology as standard. The unique equalizer in Honda’s advanced Combi Brake System (CBS) distributes braking force between front and rear wheels simultaneously, resulting in reduced braking distance & improved balance compared to conventional braking.

2018 Dio is now available in 9 attractive colours & 2 variants- Standard & Deluxe. The standard trim is offered in Vibrant Orange / Pearl Sports Yellow / Sports Red / Candy Jazzy Blue / Matte Axis Grey Metallic. The deluxe variant is available in Dazzle Yellow Metallic / Matte Marshal Green Metallic / Pearl Igneous Black / Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
