KTM has launched the RC 125 at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is an introductory price which is expected to increase in the coming months. Bookings for the bike has officially opened. Deliveries will start by the end of June.
The RC 125 has the same bodywork as the larger RC 200. It, however, gets a new Orange and Black paintjob. Its powerplant is similar to the India-spec KTM 125 Duke. The liquid-cooled single delivers 14.5PS at 9250rpm and 12Nm at 8000rpm. It comes paired with a 6-speed transmission.
The bike gets the same trellis frame and suspension as the KTM RC 200. Suspension setup includes upside down forks and rear monoshock. Braking is via a 300mm front and 230mm rear disc. like the RC 200 and 125 Duke, the RC 125 gets single-channel ABS.
Its primary rival will be the Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0.
