Kawasaki Ninja 400

After teasing the launch and then announcing the launch date of the Ninja 400, Kawasaki has finally launched the supersport in India. Read all about it here. Before this, the Ninja 400 was launched globally in its Euro 5/BS6 avatar in Europe.

The Ninja 400 has been launched at a price of Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Kawasaki Ninja 400 Features

The Ninja 400 carries on with a semi-digital instrument cluster. It gets an analogue tachometer flanked by warning lamps on one side, and a gear position indicator and multi-function LCD screen on the other.

Kawasaki Ninja 400 Engine

The Ninja 400 makes 45.4PS and 37Nm from its 399cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. While the power figures are the same, the bike now produces 1Nm less than its BS4 version.

Kawasaki Ninja 400 Suspension & Brakes 

You get a 41mm telescopic fork along with a preload-adjustable monoshock, both of which are unchanged from the previous version on the Ninja 400. A 286mm front disc and a 193mm one at the rear handle braking duties. 

To back the bike’s sporty credentials, it comes with 17-inchers at both ends with a 110-section tyre at the front and 150-section tyre at the rear.

Kawasaki Ninja 400 Rivals

The Ninja 400 will primarily rival the KTM RC 390. It will also face stiff competition from less powerful, smaller-capacity alternatives like the TVS Apache RR 310 and the upcoming BMW G 310 RR.
