Selling 125cc motorcycle in the Indian two-wheeler market. Competing in the hotly contested commuter segment, the Shine has been Honda's flag bearer when it comes to motorcycle sales. Honda CB Shine comes appointed with a no-nonsense design and a premium body finish. The bike is presented as a reliable premium commuter from Honda and features a trapezoidal headlamp unit that now comes integrated with the mandatory AHO (Auto Headlamp ON) feature. The rear look of the bike is made a little sporty with the stylish tail lamp unit and uplifted rear fender.
The new graphics that envelop the aerodynamic flowing sidelines yield the bike a precisely appealing look. Honda Shine sports new digital-analog instrument console that enables a quick and comprehensive look at the various indicators. Powering the commuter is a 124.73 cc 4-stroke single cylinder, air-cooled Spark Ignited engine that is capable of churning 10.16 PS @ 7500 rpm worth of maximum power and a decent torque figure of 10.30 Nm @ 5500 rpm. Enabling a seamless power transmission to the rear wheel of the commuter is a 5-speed gearbox that also allows the rider to attain the top speed of 93 kmph. Honda CB Shine comes employed with HET low rolling resistance tyres that amount for efficient fuel saving and allows the bike to deliver 65 kmpl worth of mileage (Claimed as per ARAI Data).
The reliable handling of the CB Shine is a conduct of its prompt suspension assembly that consists of spring loaded hydraulic rear suspension unit and front telescopic forks. With this, the bike comes assisted with front and rear 130 mm disc brake unit as a standard, while you can go for the front 240 mm disc brake option. This braking assembly was made more efficient with the use of Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS). Honda Shine comes in 6 different colour options, including – Imperial Red Metallic, Red Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Athletic Blue Metallic, Black, and Geny Grey Metallic. Honda has priced the commuter at Rs 57,683 for the drum brakes version, Rs 59997 for the front disc rear drum brake variant and Rs 62,903 for the CBS version; all prices ex-showroom Delhi. The bike has earned a reputable stand in its segment where its competitors are – Hero Super Splendor, and Bajaj V12.
