finally...the TRIGGER to LIFE

finally...the TRIGGER to LIFE

I am an engineering student of 21 yrs.

I have driven Legendary RX100, Unicorn, old CBZ and old metal body Activa. I had started driving bikes at 15 yrs age. First bike was RX100 n Unicorn.

I had owned an Activa too for last 6yrs which I sold out to my brother at rupees 28000 with 22000+ km on meter. This was about 7months ago when my search of bike started.

My primary requirements were power, looks, handling, refinement, reliability, good handling and of course mileage.

I test drove as well as go on different bikes of my friends to make my peace of mind.

I found:

Apache 160 was looking short on dimensions, vibrations in engine, lack of refinement though handling and braking was good but sitting position was not comfortable. Thus not considered.

Bajaj 150 n 180 were desk bikes which lacked reliability, durability, refinement though had good power. My friends pulsars engine was overhauled at just 18000km and mechanics said its common in Bajajs. Whereas my uncles Unicorn traveled around 70000km in 6 years without a single engine problem. So for me Pulsars r show bikes with minimal use and if u try to corner it hard bike will skid and throw u away.so rejected.

Unicorn and GS150R are heavy, commuterish, old looking bikes but with good engines.but they aren't head turners.

Old CBZ was class. But new one, I don't like it and moreover Heros lack good quality service stations.

So I shortlisted hunk as it had old Unicorns engine, looks r exceptional. FZS n FZ looks stout n u won't worry about Yamaha engine and new SZR also looked value for money. But my friends said not to buy FZS as it gave 25 to 30 kmpl mileage.

Than I heard that Honda was going to launch new bike. So waited couple of weeks. Then arrived trigger. I took a test drive and Mann I was damn impressed and booked one in metallic green with front disk only. I asked many and searched about rear disk break on Indian roads and I found that rear disks without abs tends to skidd more often on wet or sandy roads. And I don't even opt for CBS (combi breaks) as I m a good rider and knows how to apply both breaks effectively. Moreover CBS version is costly and base version of trigger is value for money.

Now I have completed 6000+ km on bike n sharing my experience.

CB Trigger has great looks, full digital speedometers, led tail lamp, mono shocks, beefy patrol tank and a masculine exhaust.

It has best engine refinement, no vibrations even at 100 kmph speed, tall gearing ratios so no bike can compete from 0 to 100 mark time and moreover due to its light weight chassis.

One can go at 27 kmph in 1st n 5th gear both. So there is less requirement of frequent gear shifts which increase mileage.

Seat is comfortable for even three students. My mom feels so relaxed as ample of space on sheet is provided. Shock absorbers are wonderful with 3 settings.

I am getting a frequent mileage of 53 to 59 kmpl when driven in city 40% and highway 60%.

Really CB Trigger triumphs over all bikes in 70 k to 90 k range bikes.

All shortcomings on Dazzler are taken care off in Trigger.

I feel like a king driving a new Honda.
