My Review of Honda Activa 5G
Activa is India’s best selling scooter in the 110cc segment, Honda launched two new colour schemes with the Activa 5G, it also has an all LED headlamp. The mechanics of the bike remain unchanged and it continues to draw power from a 109 cc engine, a single cylinder.
The scooter provides a digital screen which shows the odometer, trip meter, clock as well as a service reminder. The eco light helps you manage your throttle for optimum efficiency. The switches are up to the mark and work really well. The black panels on the rear give the scooter a premium feel. this choice of tuning is also reflected in the fuel efficiency numbers. The Activa 5G proved to be more fuel efficient in the city, returning 58.1kmpl which makes it one of the most fuel efficient scooters we have seen.
The pillion rider also feels very comfortable and spending hours in traffic is easier. The suspension was better than my expectations as I did not feel several bumps and potholes on the road. Even the brakes on the scooter remain the same, though even 5G has a combi brake system which helps less skilled riders.
