हाल ही में कंपनी ने रिवर इंडी स्कूटर में बेल्ट ड्राइव ट्रांसमिशन को चेन-ड्राइव से बदला था। इस बदलाव से स्कूटर को मेंटेन करना बहुत आसान हो जाएगा। हालांकि, इस ई-स्कूटर में अभी भी कई बदलावों की आवश्यकता है।
हमारे मुताबिक, इसमें स्मार्टफोन कनेक्टिविटी और टर्न-बाय-टर्न नेविगेशन जैसे फीचर की कमी थोड़ी निराशाजनक थी। हमें उम्मीद है कि कंपनी इसमें बदलाव करेगी और नए अपडेट के साथ इसमें स्मार्टफोन कनेक्टिविटी देगी। स्मार्टफोन कनेक्टिविटी और टर्न-बाय-टर्न नेविगेशन फीचर जुड़ने से इस स्कूटर को चलाना बहुत आसान हो जाएगा, जिससे राइडर को स्कूटर रोक कर डायरेक्शन का पता लगाने के लिए फोन चेक करने की जरूरत भी नहीं पड़ेगी। इसमें कॉल और एसएमएस अलर्ट फीचर शामिल होने से राइडर को और भी फायदा मिल सकेगा।
जब हमने इस स्कूटर को चला कर देखा था तब इसमें रश मोड में थ्रॉटल कैलिब्रेशन में थोड़ी गड़बड़ी नजर आई थी। कंपनी इस पर भी काम कर सकती है जिससे राइडर को स्मूद राइडिंग एक्सपीरिएंस मिल सकेगा।
इस बात की भी संभावना है कि कंपनी ने टेस्टिंग के उद्देश्य से अपकमिंग यामाहा इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर के पावरट्रेन को इंडी पर लगाया हो। हालांकि, हमें लगता है कि यह संभव नहीं है क्योंकि यामाहा इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर को हाल ही में टेस्टिंग के दौरान देखा गया था। इसलिए, रिवर इंडी स्कूटर में पावरट्रेन और बैटरी पैक का फिर से टेस्ट करना कोई मतलब नहीं रखता।
यदि कंपनी इस स्कूटर को यह नए अपडेट देती है तो इसकी कीमत 3,000 रुपये से लेकर 5,000 रुपये के बीच बढ़ जाएगी। वर्तमान में रिवर इंडी इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर की कीमत 1.44 लाख रुपये (एक्स-शोरुम बेंगलुरु, सब्सिडी सहित) है।
इस इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर में बाकी कोई बदलाव शायद ही देखने को मिलेंगे। रिवर इंडी स्कूटर में 6.7 किलोवाट मोटर दी जाएगी और इसकी टॉप स्पीड 90 किमी/घंटे होगी। इस स्कूटी में पहले वाला 4केडब्ल्यूएच बैटरी पैक दिया जा सकता है और इसकी सर्टिफाइड रेंज 161 किलोमीटर हो सकती है।
