- Motor feels a lot more usable, with the torque spread evenly across the rev range. This helps in riding at moderate speeds at a gear higher, which wasn’t possible earlier
- Improved overall quality, with good attention-to-detail elements like logo on the rim stickers
- Is one of the lightest in segment, so moving around in traffic of tight parking spaces is easy
Jawa Perak
- The engine feels more easygoing than the shorter-geared classic Jawa.
- Can cruise at 100kmph all day long with little to no vibes.
- Suspension setup is on the firmer side but it does a decent enough job at filtering bumps.

Jawa 42
- The wide, low handlebars along with the high footpegs give off an unnatural riding posture
- Stiff suspension results in the rider being thrown off while going over sharp bumps
Jawa Perak
- Build quality has improved compared to the BS4 Jawa, but it still feels a bit rough around the edges.
- Riding posture feels a bit cramped for a 5’10” frame like mine.
- The vanilla exhaust note and lack of modern features is a bit of a letdown.

I own this bike since 2022
I own this bike since 2022 it was fun to ride it but also had some flaws with its transmission whenever i used to down shift to 2nd or first gear it stops the engine I went to service station several times but it used to stop just for some days. Other than this it is a good bike to ride in city and very comfortable for long rides. And parts are not easily available.
