A Good Faired Motorcycle From BMW For Beginners

This is a bike which is a result of the TVS-BMW collab.
I got my bike delivered on 4th August 2022 and I’ve been using it since then.
Pros:
1.) Styling- this bike is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and probably the best-looking bike under the 300cc category.

2.) BMW Branding- well this is the cheapest offering from the brand if you want a fully-faired motorcycle. It gets the BMW Road Assistance facility.

3.) Rider Comfort: Rider comfort is good and I recently did an 800kms long trip without getting anybody to ache.

4.) Riding modes: We have 4 modes for different conditions.
Urban mode- for city driving (saves fuel and engine stays cool)
Rain mode- here the ABS takes care of slippery conditions on wet roads.
Sport mode- for highways. It presents a great punch in sports mode.
Track mode- For tracks. Here the power of the engine is maximised to 34ps and ABS is less strict to perform stunts and all.

5.) Mileage: City Mileage- 30kmpl, Highways- 35kmpl.

6.) Power- this bike has got 34ps of power which is more than enough for highways and cities and can prove to be a comfortable option for Sunday morning rides.

Cons:
1.) Vibrations at higher RPMs. Not an issue in the cities but you get to feel the vibrations on the highways when the bike is pushed to its limits.

2.) Tires: This bike’s 40,000 INR cheaper counterpart- the Apache RR310 has better tires than the BMW itself.

3.) No Bluetooth connectivity.

4.) Pricing: The exact same bike is also sold by TVS under the name “Apache RR310” with the exact same engine, exact same chassis and body, looks etc, better features and many superior tires for INR 40,000 less than what this BMW bike costs. TVS is sold for Ex-showroom 2.65 Lakh whereas this is sold for Ex-showroom 2.85 lacs for black colour and 2.99 Lacs ex-showroom for the white colour (Style sport- that I bought. Only difference between this and black in colour. Rest all is same. So, fo white colour, you need to pay 15,000 INR extra above already inflated 2.85 Lacs Ex-showroom tag)

5.) Pillion comfort- Don’t even think about asking someone to sit on that pillion seat. It’s not at all comfortable and is too risky. Consider this bike as a single-seat bike only.


Conclusion: If you love the looks of this bike, but, if you want BMW Branding- pay extra and get this one.
