The company has launched it in a wide range of colours namely Dual Tone Blue, Dual Tone Red, Dual Tone White, Deep Sky Blue, Volcano Red, Sporty White, Mercury Grey and Midnight Black. Priced at Rs. 49,055 for the drum variant and Rs. 51,770 for the disc variant, it is an affordable and reliable scooter which competes well with Yamaha Ray and Suzuki Let’s.

TVS Wego is a sleek and stylish 110cc scooter that made its appearance few years back to give a tough competition to its rivals. TVS has aided it with a perfect body balance mechanism to offer ease of riding. The scooter comes with numerous impressive features like fully digital instrument console, stunning front end, mobile charging port and much more. Till now, the Wego has shown quite satisfactory numbers to the company and is proving a good option in the country’s 110cc scooter category.
TVS Wego comes with a 110cc, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with CVT-i technology to ensure an improved mileage count. The engine delivers a maximum power of 8bhp at 7,500rpm with a peak torque of 8Nm at 5,500rpm. The peppy scooter comes with V-matic transmission with an easy electric start.
TVS Wego is built on a High Rigidity Underbone type Chassis. The all-black alloy wheels fitted to tubeless tyres come in the size of 90/90-12” at both ends. The suspension kit include advance in-line telescopic suspension at the front and unit swing with spring loaded shock absorber at the rear. The wheels are further equipped with 130mm drum brakes at front and rear, whereas 220mm disc brake is optional for the front.
The front panel of the scooter is good looking with twin air-vents at the center. TVS Wego comes with Clear Lens Multi-reflector Headlamp, while its side indicator are located on the front panel that integrate guide lights. The instrument panel of TVS Wego goes fully digital with economy and power mode indicators. Its rear comes with a triangular tail lamp section with LED’s and clear lens blinkers. The scooter sports a fuel tank of 5 liter capacity with a claimed fuel economy of 62kmpl.
Convenient features of TVS Wego includes dual side handle lock, external fuel-filling inlet and 16 liter large under-seat storage capacity with mobile charging port. A stainless-steel guard for the silencer looks good which says CVT-i in Black. A self-illuminating ignition key hole is also provided in the scooter which enhances convenience for the rider. With the launch of TVS Wego, the Chennai-based manufacturer seems to up its overall sales graph in the Indian scooter market.
TVS Wego is a mid-size scooter that comes with well-balanced body and easy to ride characteristics. It is held together by a high rigidity under bone type frame and comes with the following body dimensions: 1,834mm x 640mm x 1,115mm (LxWxH). The scooter has a wheelbase of 1,275mm that offers easy handling. With a minimum ground clearance of 150mm, it has a low centre of gravity that stabilizes it well even in tight traffic conditions. TVS Wego comes fitted with a 5 liter fuel tank and has a total kerb weight of 104kg.
The front profile of the vehicle has a stylish headlamp section that looks appealing. The pointed clear lens turn indicators which are embedded impressively in the front body panel further add to the glory. It has a wider, well-padded seat that gives comfort to the rider and pillion. The black coloured rear grab rail looks sporty and syncs well with the overall body design. The tail lamp consists of a full LED unit integrated with clear lens turning blinkers. The stainless steel muffler guard looks ravishing and protects the pillion from the heated exhaust.
The instrument console of TVS Wego is purely digital that gives easy access to all the information to the rider. It comprises of a speedometer, odometer, tripmeter and fuel gauge along with TVS-signatured dual riding modes viz. economy and power. The company has added many convenient features in the scooter such as a glowing ignition key hole, an underseat storage compartment of 16 liters, mobile charging point and dual side lockable handle.
TVS Wego gets its power from a 109.7cc, four-stroke, CVTi, single cylinder, air-cooled engine that is paired with a V-matic automatic transmission. The OHC mill churns out a maximum power of 8bhp at 7,500rpm along with a peak torque of 8Nm at 5,500rpm. For convenience, it has been assisted with an easy electric start. TVS Wego sprints from 0 to 60kmph in 11 seconds and hits a top speed of 85kmph.
The trendy scooter has been fitted with 90/90-12 tubeless tyres that are mounted over robust black alloys at the front and rear. The braking system comprises of 130mm drum brakes equipped at both ends offer a good bite. Moreover, an optional front disc brake is also offered by the manufacturer that further enhances the stopping potential of the vehicle. The suspension duties are carried out by in-line telescopic forks at the front and Unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic damper at the rear end.
TVS Wego has a powerful 12V-35/35W multi reflector headlight that ensures a good vision in dark and low light conditions. The twin rear view mirrors avoids chances of any accidents by notifying the rider about incoming traffic approaching him from behind. An optional disc brake offers a good stopping power and prevents any mishap in case of an emergency. Furthermore, the parking brake gives an extra inch of safety to the rider by avoiding unintentional movement of the vehicle. These collection of features make it a reliable and convenient machine in the Indian scooter market.
