Yamaha RX 135

The most popular motorcycles from the Yamaha RX series, the RX 100 and the RX 135 have a special place in the hearts of Indian bike enthusiasts. This never ending love for the machine made seven customers pay Rs. 1.5 lakh each for the seven RX 135s, which were auctioned recently by a Yamaha dealer in Bengaluru. This information was made public by the dealer through a facebook post.

This model from the RX series featured a two-stroke engine, which has become a rare sight these days. The two-stroke engine offers good performance and better acceleration over the 4-stroke unit, but this largely compromised the fuel economy. The RX bikes have always been special to the ones who like to modify their machines.

The Yamaha RX 135 was available in the country since 1990s in two trims - 4-speed and 5-speed gearbox. The people who bought these bikes at Rs. 1.5 lakh has the choices of far more refined bikes like the Yamaha YZF-R15 V2.0, the Honda CBR 150R, the Royal Enfield Classic 350, the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and the KTM 200 Duke. But, the love for classics made them overcome the price barrier. Only a real biker knows the value of an RX as spending Rs. 1.5 lakh for a below Rs. 50,000 motorcycle.

Let us know your opinion on whether buying the Yamaha RX 135 at Rs. 1.5 lakh is a good choice on not?
