The American snowmobile and off-road vehicle manufacturer owned Victory motorcycles has officially launched its first all-new, fully electric motorcycle christened as the Empulse TT. The naked eco-friendly motorcycle is the modified version of the Brammo Empulse R and has been released just six months after Polaris gained the possession of electric bike manufacturer - Brammo. Empulse TT has been launched currently for the US market only and the company could soon start its marketing in other countries as well, depending on the demand.

The bike draws its power from a Permanent Magnet AC Induction electric motor that churns out 54bhp of power and 80.7Nm of torque. The bike has been assisted with a Stage 2 charger in order to fully charge up the motorcycle under just 4 hours. The company claims 110mph top speed for its newly launched electric motorcycle. The bike can cover a decent range of 57 miles after a full charge. The braking system gets twin 310mm Brembo floating discs with Brembo four-piston calliper upfront and Brembo single disc with Brembo twin piston calliper at the rear. The suspension system comprises of Fully Adjustable 43mm Marzocchi Forks at the front and Fully Adjustable Sachs monoshock at the rear. Empulse TT uses Continental 120-70 ZR17 front and 58W/180-55 ZR17 rear tyres for its movement.

Talking about the bike, Mr. Joshua Katt, Victory Electric Product Manager conveyed, “The Empulse TT was developed primarily as an electric motorcycle delivering a sporty ride. With dual ride modes – Eco and Sport – to choose from and the addition of a gearbox, the Empulse TT is a versatile motorcycle that can be used for impressively sporty riding or as a casual commuter.”

After acquiring Brammo, Victory has now access to the most advanced electric drivetrain technologies that will eventually help it making electric vehicles even more sharply and competitively. Empulse TT has been priced at USD 20,000 (Rs 12.79 lakh) for the US market.
