The 2016 Indian Auto Expo that is going strong in Greater Noida has attracted a huge number of visitors on the first day. The event is indeed bigger, better and more exciting than before and has come up with a number of surprises for the audience. One such attraction was the Bollywood Motors booth which you can visit at Hall No. 16 that has been particularly slotted for media publications.

The Bollywood motors stall is lined up with cars and motorcycles that you have seen in epic Bollywood blockbusters. While the vintage cars could be seen on one side, the two-wheelers were also registering their strong presence at the stall.

Here are the two-wheelers that were present at the filmy booth:

Rajdoot GTS - 1972 model:

The bike was used in Bobby movie in 1973 in which Raj rescued Bobby Braganza from trouble and this bike featured was prominently in this movie. The motorcycle was introduced in the country by Escorts as a grand touring sports motorcycle in the year 1972. The movie made the bike famous as “Bobby bike” and now, you can see rehashed version of this bike as Honda NAVi that the company recently launched at the Expo. The model was taken from the collection of Saurabh Vats of Delhi.

Ariel - 1954:

This 350cc bike was seen in one of the biggest blockbusters of all time - Sholay and it was the same bike on which Jay-Veeru used to roam, with an attached sidecar. The motorcycle got immense popularity with the song “Yeh dosti” and began to be seen as more of a signature of friendship than just a motorcycle. The model at the stall was sourced from the collection of Sandeep Katari from New Delhi.

Suzuki Hayabusa:

The 1300cc machine got recognised in India after the biggest biking blockbuster from Bollywood 'Dhoom' got released. The bike was used in the movie by smart thief Kabir (John Abraham) to run away after high-profile robberies. The bike got famous among the Indians soon after that and most of them began to see it as their dream bike. The red coloured Hayabusa will remind you of the movie with the movie still painted in background.
