Triumph Bonneville T120 Bookings Now Open

After launching the Bonneville T120 at the 2016 Auto Expo, Triumph India has finally started taking bookings for the same. The bookings have commenced at all the 12 Triumph dealerships across India and the T120 is now available at a starting price of Rs. 8.7 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi). Inspired from the legendary ‘59 Bonneville, the Bonneville T120 boasts of an old-school styling along with deep chrome badges, chromed rear body grab rail, chromed wheel rims, and twin skinned chrome exhaust headers with pea-shooter style silencers.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India said, “The original Bonneville T120 has enjoyed a great legacy and character amongst its loyalists. We are sure the Indian customers will take to the new, modern yet authentic T120 with absolute zeal and pride. It comes with real pedigree, presence and performance yet retains its class. We look forward to exciting times ahead with our new range.”
The 2016 Bonneville T120 draws its power from an all-new 1,200cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that cranks out a maximum torque of 105Nm at 3,100rpm, which accounts for a 54% increase in torque in comparison to its previous generation. The six-speed motor comes linked to ride-by-wire technology, torque assist clutch, two riding modes, engine management system and traction control.
The new T120 has been built on an all-new chassis and suspension setup, which are developed to bring in dynamic handling that eventually makes it more comfortable and practical for touring. The cruiser gets its stopping power from dual disc brakes up front and single disc at the rear, which is linked to an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). Besides, the company has loaded the machine with a host of features that include heated grips, engine immobiliser, DRL headlight, USB charging socket, fingertip controls and much more.
The new Bonneville T120 also comes with a wide range of over 160 stylish accessories along with a complete prestige ‘Inspiration’ kit. The kit features an authentic 4-bar tank badge, ribbed and stitched black seat, compact LED indicators and much more. With an all-new powerful engine, advanced features and elegantly styled elements, the bike is surely going to be a very strong player in the modern-classic motorcycle segment.
