Suzuki Gixxer with Rear Disc

Suzuki Motorcycles showcased the updated version of its most popular Indian motorcycle, Gixxer, at the 2016 Auto Expo. The new Gixxer comes with a rear disc brake option which replaces the drum at the rear. This results in much more effective braking. First launched in September 2014, Gixxer has a naked streetfighter look and borrows it design cues from its elder sibling, GSX-S1000. Other than the rear disc brake, the new model remains same as the ongoing one. Mated to a 5-speed transmission, the 154.9cc mill on Gixxer generates a maximum power of 14.59bhp at 8,000rpm with 14Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The bike was showcased at the Expo alongside the updated version of Access 125 which has been given a front disc brake and two other 1-litre flagship models from Suzuki.
