The success of the new TVS Victor has increased the company's market share to 8 per cent in the overall motorcycle market.

TVS Motor Company relaunched its popular brand, Victor, 9 months back with an all-new commuter motorcycle. Now, the bike has crossed the sales milestone of 1 lakh units, which is quite a good number for a new motorcycle in the market. After launching the bike, the company's share has expanded to 8 per cent in the overall motorcycle market in India and it further aims to attain a 10-12 percent share in the next 2 years with the Victor being one of the major contributors. Along with the popularity of the brand, there are many reasons contributing to the solid success of the bike, such as its quality of built, performance and fuel efficiency.

Speaking on the success of the new TVS Victor, Arun Siddharth, vice president, marketing (motorcycles), TVS Motor Company, said, “We are delighted to have 1 lakh families join us on this journey to spread smiles. It is our endeavour to add more members to the growing family of TVS Victor and we are confident that we will build on the growth momentum.”

The company continues to position the Victor as a family bike that is an ideal combination of decent styling, sufficient performance and better comfort than a regular commuter. Powering the bike is an advanced 110cc, 3-valve, Ecothrust engine that comes mated to a 4-speed transmission. The powertrain delivers 9.6PS of power at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 9.4Nm at 6,000rpm. Along with a satisfactory performance, the bike claims to return a fuel economy of 76kmpl under standard TVS test conditions.

The TVS Victor has been made available in two trims, drum brake variant for Rs 50,715 (ex-showroom, Delhi) along with a disc brake variant with a front disc brake for Rs 2,000 extra. The bike comes in six colours with attractive contrasting graphics including Blissful Blue, Generous Grey, Beatific Black Silver, Serene Silver, Balanced Black Red and Restful Red.
