Jorge Lorenzo

Even before the start of the 2016 racing season, there is good news for Movistar Yamaha as the current MotoGP champion, Jorge Lorenzo, wants to continue his association with his present team, Movistar Yamaha. He is willing to sign a new contract with Yamaha as soon as possible and wants to stay with the team throughout his career. One of the best MotoGP riders till date, Valentino Rossi also races for the same team. Both the riders, Rossi and Lorenzo, have bagged the top two spots in 2015 MotoGP, helping Movistar Yamaha to win the team’s title a few races before the season came to an end. The Japanese brand is also thinking on the same lines as Lorenzo, mentioning it as a priority to be with him.

Speaking about his association with Movistar Yamaha, Jorge Lorenzo said, “I'm ready in case we need to wait until the halfway point of the season to renew. It has always been that way. But if we can move the renewal forward to be more calm and to ride better, if I stay with Yamaha that will help both me and them.”
