The naked bikes are in demand now-a-days due to their rigid styling, easy manoeuvrability and agile nature. Most of the bike maker are converting their bike into the naked one, following the trend Kawasaki has launched Z250 in Indonesia, which is the naked version of the Kawasaki Ninja 250R and boast designing cues of Z800. The Z250 StreetFighter is a naked sports bike so it features minimal body panels.

The Z250 StreetFighter houses the same engine as the 2013 Ninja 250R, a four-stroke, 249cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. It also uses the same digital speedometer and analogue tachometer of the 2013 Ninja 250R, only difference is that it is using a white dial for the tachometer. Also the engine and five-spoke alloy wheels have been given an all-black look just like the Ninja 250R.

The Z250 is also using the same frame of the Ninja and the suspension is also the same; telescopic fork suspension at front and monoshock absorber at rear. However, the ergonomics have been altered to provide a more upright riding position, with wider and 35 degree higher handlebars, it proves to be a street bike. Bike's rake has also been altered by 29 degree, to make the handling better while riding around the town. As the bike doesn't have the fairing it becomes 4kg lighter than the Ninja 250R.

Looking at its specification and appeal we are hoping that Bajaj-Kawasaki might launch the bike in India. As it is a naked bike, it will be cheaper than the Ninja 250 R. Upcoming KTM Duke 390 is also a naked bike and there are some other bikes like Suzuki Inazuma 250, so India is going to receive some agile babies in next few months, it will be interesting to see, which one will rule the Indian streets.
