South Korean major Hyosung is trying hard to make its place in the Indian market, one of the biggest markets for two-wheelers, with its Pune based partner DSK Motowheels. The bike maker has recently launched its premium sports bike GT250R to compete with Honda CBR250R and Ninja 250R. But now, it wishes a big piece of the cake and the company knows that the way of success in the Indian market goes straight through the commuter segment. Therefore, the company has decided to develop a 150cc made for India bike and this won't be a high end bike like Yamaha R15 instead it will be a regular commuter.

In India, the commuter and 150cc commuter segment has got some really good bikes including Bajaj Pulsar 150, which is the segment leader for over a decade long time and others like Yamaha FZ and Honda Unicorn. So, this new entry has to compete with these bikes to make its way and it should have a leading edge not only technically but also in pricing and mileage. As we all know that these are the two biggest factors associated with the commuter segment. However, the bike is still in the initial stages of development and Hyosung might showcase this in 2014 Auto Expo. So, there is a lot of time left, and in a growing market like India, which changes it traits on such a rapid speed, we can't say how the buyers will react on this 150cc commuter. For now, they are giving their attention to expand their dealership network and premium bikes and we are giving our attention that how things will be developed for this bike? Check out this space, we will soon get more updates on this.
