Along with spreading the message “Be the Solution to Pollution,” Honda conducted PAN India free two-wheeler PUC and emission level checkup drive.

Celebrating the National Pollution Control Day on December 2nd, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) educated two-wheeler consumers about pollution control. Spreading the message “Be the Solution to Pollution,” all the Mobile Service Vans (MSVs) of the company advocated ‘Green Consumerism’ across the country. Moreover, HMSI also offered free PUC (Pollution Under Control) and emission level checkup for all two-wheelers (Honda and Non-Honda). The company also tutored two-wheeler users on the importance of regular vehicle maintenance.

Commenting on the occasion, Keita Muramatsu, president and CEO, HMSI, said, “Preserving the environment is among the top priorities for us at Honda. We are committed to 30 per cent CO2 reduction by the end of 2020. We are actively contributing to build a greener tomorrow. In line with our vision of “Blue skies for our children”, this day is focused on creating awareness on how consumers can by reducing, reusing and recycling; not only help in reducing carbon footprint but also add to a larger cause of environmental conservation. By activating this campaign through our entire dealership network, we are excited to reach out to maximum number of 2 wheeler customers and magnify the campaigns impact.”

The National Pollution Control Day honours thousands of human beings who had lost their lives to the Bhopal Gas Calamity. It is celebrated to create awareness among people and industries about paying more attention towards the need of adhering to the Pollution Control Acts.

As we know, India is the largest consumer of two-wheelers across the globe and contributes largely to vehicle pollution as well. So, by regular maintenance and pollution checkup of our two-wheelers, we can make a huge contribution towards pollution control. If we all decide to follow the vehicle pollution guidelines, we can definitely create a big difference and protect our environment.
