One of the Kawasaki dealerships in Mumbai is offering a discount of Rs. 25,000 on the ER-6n naked middleweight which is normally retailed at Rs. 5.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The naked version of the popular Kawasaki Ninja 650, the ER-6n, is already one of the least expensive middleweight street bikes available in India. Now, a Kawasaki dealer based in Andheri East, Mumbai, is offering a discount of Rs. 25,000 on the bike which is priced at Rs. 5.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). We contacted some other Kawasaki dealerships in Mumbai as well as other cities, but they refused to provide any such offer or discount on the ER-6n. It seems like a strategy for clearing the inventory as the offer is valid only at the Andheri dealership which is now retailing the bike for Rs. 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Kawasaki ER-6n

Priced very competitively in the market, the Kawasaki ER-6n delivers great performance as well. Still, the bike is not doing that well in the terms of popularity and sales. Some of the major reasons contributing to this fact are the slightly unexciting looks of the bike and poor promotion or marketing strategy. Many performance bike owners want their bike to grab attention in public and the ER-6n mostly fails in that task. Also, the colour options are very limited with the bike.

Kawasaki ER-6n

The Kawasaki ER-6n comes powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that churns out 72.1PS at 8,500rpm and delivers a peak torque of 64Nm at 7,000rpm. The bike has a rider-friendly ergonomic design with great maneuverability which makes it a versatile machine. With a kerb weight of just 204 kg, the bike features beefy 41mm telescopic forks at the front, offset laydown single-shock with adjustable preload at the rear, fat tyres (120/70 front and 160/60 rear), dual 300mm front disc brakes and single 220mm rear disc brake, but misses out on ABS to maintain the low pricing.
