First unveiled at 73rd EICMA, the Ducati XDiavel is finally making its way to India by the year-end. The bike will be launched here alongside its cruiser twin - XDiavel S. The XDiavel will be manufactured at the company’s production facility in Thailand that has kick-started its operations in the year 2014. The Thailand factory manufactures almost all Ducati models and its production numbers have doubled up since it opened.

Ducati XDiavel comes powered by a 1,262c, liquid-cooled, L-twin, dual spark, Testastretta engine that has been mated to a six-speed transmission setup. The motor produces a maximum power of 156bhp at 9,500rpm along with a peak torque of 128.9Nm at 5,000rpm. The manufacturer has also equipped the new Diavel with a slipper clutch assembly to ensure that corners exits are more fun when the rider aggressively drops down a gear. The braking system comprises of dual 320mm disc brakes with Brembo four-piston callipers up front and 265mm single disc brake with Brembo twin-piston calliper at the rear. The brakes are further coupled to Bosch cornering ABS as standard for safety.

Other features of the bike include Ducati Traction Control Unit, handsfree start-up and three distinct riding modes. The XDiavel S on the other hand, is a more premium version that additionally offers full LED lighting system with DRLs, Bluetooth connectivity and some cosmetic changes. The XDiavel receives restyled belt covers for the engine, the frame plates, the footpeg plates and wheels. Furthermore, the single piece rear view mirrors, new seat and the tweaked front  suspension completes the exclusivity of the ‘S’ version. Once launched, the cruiser would be priced a bit higher than the standard Diavel that starts at Rs. 14.2 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Indian market. Stay tuned for more updates!
