Italian automaker Ducati has come up with another surprise for its fans as the company is launching its tourer Multistrada 1200 Enduro in August this year. This new machine will join its siblings, the Multistrada 1200 and the 1200S that have already reached Indian market few months back. If launched, the Multistrada 1200 Enduro is expected to cater to the vast adventure tourer segment in the Indian two-wheeler market.

Mechanically, this bike will come equipped with a 1200cc L-Twin engine that will churn out a maximum power of 160bhp at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 136Nm at 7,500 rpm. Also, the bike will be offered with various riding modes to ease the long distances. Few changes such as redesigned mud guards and breaks have been made to the Multistrada 1200 Enduro to differentiate it from the already existing Multistrada 1200 and 1200S. Along with this, the bike may get a different suspension set up too as the company has included electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment through Skyhook suspension System.

To give it a different look than the other Multistrada's, Ducati has fitted tubeless spoked aluminium wheels to the Multistrada 1200 Enduro. To make the adventure tour thrilling and comfortable at the same time, the company has equipped 19-inch and 17-inch knobby tyres in the bike, at front and rear respectively. Changes in seating can also be seen as Ducati has narrowed the seat and have pushed it over the footpegs to improve the riding posture for off-road tours. The bike will enter the Indian market as a completely built unit (CBU) through Thailand. No confirmation on the pricing has been given by the company yet but we expect the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro to be priced around Rs. 19 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Besides this, the Italian manufacturer Ducati is all set to unveil its 959 Panigale in India at the biggest bike fest ‘India Bike Week’ to be held in Goa on 19th and 20 February. The 959 Panigale is the updated version of 898 Panigale and will replace it from the company's portfolio.
