Ducati 959 Panigale at India Bike Week 2016  

In 2015, Ducati sold a total of 54,809 motorcycles worldwide, recording an increase of 21.5% in sales. This subsidiary of the Audi Group sold an additional 10,000 motorcycles in the last year as compared to 2014. Ducati achieved a growth of 0.9% from 2014, capturing 5.4% market share in the over-500cc motorcycle segment last year. In 2016, Ducati has entered three new segments including the below-500cc, cruiser and off-road segment with the Scrambler Sixty2, the XDiavel and the Multistrada respectively. Presently, the motorcycle manufacturer stands proud with more than 720 dealerships in over 90 countries.

Speaking about the company’s growth in 2015, Claudio Domenicali, CEO, Ducati, said, "In the course of this past financial year, Ducati demonstrated the effectiveness of the strategy followed in the past three years, based on investment in product, quality and customers. This growth is reflected not only by volumes but by all the main financial indicators and shows how the company today is solid and well prepared for future challenges." André Stoffels, CFO, Ducati, further added, "Key financials confirm that Ducati's growth is on a consistently upward curve. We maintain our high investment level and increase significantly our positive net cash flow."

Ducati Diavel at India Bike Week 2016 

Growing globally, Ducati is also targeting the Indian market and has recently launched the 959 Panigale at Rs. 14.04 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) at the India Bike Week festival 2016. Along with it, other models like the Hyperstrada, the Scrambler, the Multistrada and the Diavel were showcased. Also, Ducati is planning to start a riding school and an owners group in India as this should increase the interest of Indian bike enthusiasts towards Ducati motorcycles.
