BMW G 310 R UK Price Revealed

One of the most anticipated motorcycles of this year, the BMW G 310 R is going to be priced at GBP 4,290 (around Rs 3.88 lakh) in the UK.
Everyone is curious to know the price of the upcoming BMW G 310 R, the smallest capacity and most affordable motorcycle from the house of the Bavarian motor company. Now the wait is over as it has been revealed that the bike is going on sale in the UK market with a price tag of GBP 4,290, which is equal to approximately Rs 3.88 lakh.
Though the UK pricing of the upcoming BMW G 310 R is less than that of the KTM 390 Duke and the Kawasaki Z300, we can't expect that it will be cheaper in the Indian market as well. We know that both the Royal Enfield Continental GT and the KTM Duke are manufactured in India and the prior one costs less in the country. However, when we look at the UK prices of these motorcycles, the scenario is the opposite. So, we can't assure you that the BMW G 310 R will be cheaper than the existing KTM 390 Duke in India.
First unveiled at the 2015 Milan motorcycle show, the bike has already been showcased in India at the 2016 Auto Expo. Designed and developed by BMW Motorrad, the G 310 R will be manufactured in India by TVS Motor Company. It will help the German auto major maintain the cost of the motorcycle, like the Austrian firm is already doing for its entry level RC and Duke twins in partnership with Pune-based Bajaj Auto.
The streetfighter-styled motorcycle is powered by a new 313cc, single-cylinder engine which is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Using an electronic fuel injection system, the liquid-cooled motor makes 34PS of power at 9,500rpm and delivers a peak torque of 28Nm at 7,500rpm. The company claims that the maximum speed of the BMW G 310 R is over 144kmph and that it will return a fuel economy of more than 30kmpl at a constant speed of 90kmph. Looking at the premium features of the bike like USD front forks, rear monoshock, front and rear disc brakes, wide tyres and ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), it seems to be pretty well priced compared to its main rival, the KTM 390 Duke.
