Benelli is planning big for 2017 with many new and revised products, including an all-new 750cc twin-cylinder streetfighter and an updated version of the TNT 899.

Upcoming 750cc Benelli

Earlier, we brought you reports that the Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Benelli, is developing a new 750cc bike, with a possible leaked picture of it. Now, we have learnt that the picture was of the updated 2017 model of its existing TNT 899 naked streetbike. However, it doesn't mean that the company is not developing the new 750cc motorcycle with a parallel-twin engine that was announced by the company officially sometime back. Some new images making the rounds on the internet features the actual upcoming parallel-twin powered streetfighter, codenames “BJ750GS.”

Upcoming 750cc Benelli

So let's first talk about the all-new model, the Benelli 750cc twin, which is also a streetfighter motorcycle like the company's TNT range. It features an aggressive design with minimalistic bodywork and a naked steel trellis frame. The front of the bike looks quite similar to that of the Ducati Monster; however, it is totally different from the other angles. It has a mass-forward design like all modern sportbikes, with a raised tail section.

Upcoming 750cc Benelli

As we can see in the pictures, the upcoming 750cc Benelli features beefy inverted telescopic forks at the front and link-type monoshock at the rear with steel trellis swingarm. The bike also gets new alloy wheels along with fat tyres. The headlight is a bit interesting and gets an oval-ish shape like the MV Agusta Brutale. Overall, the bike has a very muscular styling providing an aggressive appearance to it.

The new 750cc engine is a liquid-cooled parallel-twin type unit, and is expected to get the 4-valve, DOHC configuration and a six-speed gearbox. Using an EFI system, the motor could make between 80-90bhp of power and the peak torque could be around 75Nm.

2017 Benelli TNT 899

Coming to the other one, the 2017 Benelli TNT 899 gets a complete design revamp including the frame which is a steel trellis type instead of the perimeter type. The bodywork has also changed completely, except for the tank shrouds which look almost similar to those comes in the existing model. The wheels are also new and the under-belly exhaust has been replaced with a side-slung type muffler. We can also expect modifications in the engine for better performance, which should hopefully help the company get a better hold in this competitive segment.
