Bajaj Auto - one of the leading Indian two-wheeler manufacturers recently organised a biking festival, which it calls the Festival of Speed. The event was hosted at Leisure Valley in Gurgaon and is being proudly called as India’s first Festival of Speed. The Festival of Speed commenced at 2 pm and first up were the Pulsar riders who showcased their skills on the race track.

Apart from track races, the biking fest also hosted numerous activities like Skateboarding, Bicycle Motocross, Stunt shows, DJ performances, live concert and much more. The races were open for any rider who owned a Bajaj Pulsar with engine capacities of 200cc and above. As a bonus, the 6 Pulsar RS 200 customers chosen for the final race would compete with each other at the MMRT race track in Chennai. The festival will also travel to Hyderabad on 5th March, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai with 36 finalists (6 from each city) who will compete for the grand finale after undergoing a full day of professional training from experts on the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai on 16th April. The entire cost of travel, stay and training would be born by the company. Besides this, the winner will be awarded the first Pulsar Cup along with a cash prize of Rs. 1 lac.

Commenting on this new initiative, Mr Sumeet Narang, Vice President – Marketing, Bajaj Auto Ltd said “Pulsar is the market leader in sports segment and it’s our endeavour to evolve the landscape and keep raising the bar of customer engagement. Conceptualising India’s first speed biking festival is another such offering for the sports biking enthusiast in the country. Pulsar is a loved brand and we wanted to create a platform for its loyal customers to experience a world class speed biking fest.”

He further added, “We hope to physically involve & engage over 40,000 riders / enthusiasts across the country through the mega show this year. More than speed, Pulsar is also about adrenaline and fun and hence the festival has been so designed.”

Such biking festivals enrich the spirit of motorcycling in the biking community. But along with the exhilaration and fun of biking, riders at the event were reminded about the importance of wearing safety gear. Biking as a sport is a lot of fun and the right riding gear will make sure you live to see more of it.
