When it comes to high-speed and comfortable touring, Honda Goldwing is a name that first comes to the mind. The bike is one of the most fully-loaded and well-equipped motorcycles across the globe, which has indeed set its place in the market for decades. Now, the good news is that Honda is planning to bring the new edition of this bike that is expected to make its entry in 2017 and would be blessed with numerous state-of-the-art features.

Now talking of the new additions, the 2017 Goldwing will hopefully get a DCT (Dual Clutch) semi-auto transmission for which the company had filed for the patents some time back. The suspension will also be fully tuned and the bike is expected to feature electronically adjustable semi-active suspension. As per the patents filed by Honda, the front end of the machine will come with a multi-link suspension, something that is not usual for motorcycles. The reason could be, conventional telescopic forks that exists in the current Goldwing might not be good enough in offering the ride quality and comfort that the company had aimed for.

Another thing for which the company had filed the patent is the instrumentation. With the current Goldwing already housing numerous controls and buttons for different purposes, the new model can feature a more advanced unit with a TFT screen on board and a revamped infotainment system. Last but not the least, some reports have even suggested that the bike might be integrated with an electric motor as well and will come with a hybrid drive system. The patents also suggest that the bike will come fitted with a six-cylinder engine linked to such a system.

As the Goldwing is already regarded as one of the finest touring bikes across the globe, the upcoming edition will surely enhance its position and charm, and obviously, the number of admirers. Stay tuned for more updates!
