2016 Suzuki Satria F150

The Sentul circuit in west Jawa, Indonesia, witnessed yet another launch and this time, it is Suzuki that launched its 2016 Satria F150. Only recently the same venue witnessed the launch of all-new Honda CBR150R. This new bike launched by Suzuki is aimed at students and young working adults and is available in two variants, i.e Standard and High Grade. The standard F150 is priced at IDR 21.65 million (INR 1.10 lac) and comes in three color option while the high grade will cost IDR 21.95 (INR 1.12 lac) million and is available in two colors.

Powering the bike is 147.3cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid cooled engine that according to the company claims generates 18.24bhp of power and a peak torque of 13.8Nm. It is equipped with fuel injection system and Euro3 ignition system. The fuel injected motor comes linked with 6-speed transmission and delivers ideal fuelling under all climate conditions. The compression ratio has also been raised, from 10.2:1 to 11.5:1. The engine not only tweaked in terms of power, torque and compression but has also been improved to show the racing intention of the bike and a lighter, short-skirted piston also find its place in a smaller and lighter block, to support in the engine’s mechanical proficiency.

2016 Suzuki Satria F150 now features a more advanced and sporty style along with an aerodynamic body. It measures 1960 mm in length, 675 mm in width, 1260 mm in height and also has a distance Cornerstone of 150mm. It has also been fitted with a seat with the height of 765mm and has a fuel tank of 4 liters capacity. The bike sports fully digital instrument console, as well. It will run on sticky tyres size of 70/90-17 38P at the front and 80/90-17 50P at the rear end. The braking duties will be taken care of by petal disc brake at both ends while the suspension duties are done by telescopic front forks and arm swing with spiral spring at the rear.

If this bike is introduced in India at a price tag of around Rs. 1 lac, it will start a battle among various models to become the first in the 150cc segment. As the F150 uses the same engine technology which is being used on Suzuki’s MotoGP machine, I think it will conquer its all rivals with its high-end performance and it could be the fastest bike in this segment.
