Bajaj Pulsar 150 Price:
An icon in its own right, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been around for nearly two decades. The BS6 prices of the bike start from Rs 94,125 for the Neon variant. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is priced at Rs 1,01,082 for the standard and at Rs 1,04,979 for the rear disc variant (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). This makes the standard Pulsar 150 dearer than its December 2020 pricing by around Rs 1,500.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 Features:
The silhouette of the Pulsar 150 hasn’t changed since the second generation DTS-i model. It gets the same bikini fairing cowl surrounding the conventional bulb headlight unit. The semi-digital info cluster does look a bit dated now. However, the backlit switches add a premium touch to the Pulsar 150.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 Engine:
The Pulsar 150 is powered by the same old 149.5cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that now gets fuel-injected to comply with BS6 emission norms. The BS6 motor makes 14PS at 8500rpm and 13.2Nm at 6500rpm, 0.15Nm less than the BS4 iteration. Power remains the same. The kerb weight has gone up by 4kg, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 now tipping the scales at 148kg.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 Suspension & Brakes:
There are no changes in terms of underpinnings on the BS6 version of the Bajaj Pulsar 150. You find the same telescopic fork and twin shock arrangement as before. The front wheel gets a disc brake as standard while at the rear you have an option of a 230mm disc or a 130mm drum brake. Single-channel ABS comes as standard.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 Rivals:
The Pulsar 150 continues to be a tough competitor to the Apache 160, Honda XBlade and the Honda Unicorn BS6. In the same price bracket, you could also get two-wheelers such as the Aprilia SR 125, Vespa ZX 125, and the Revolt RV400.

Pulsar 150 Expert Review
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been around for almost two decades now and yet has been one of the most Bajaj bikes in the market. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 lives on even in the BS6 era and has received a new fuel-injected motor to meet the stringent emission norms. The last update the bike received was in 2018, when the Pulsar
150 was equipped with fatter 37mm front forks, a longer wheelbase, a wider rear tyre and a split-seat configuration. Other notable features on the new Pulsar 150 includes a halogen headlamp with AHO (Automatic Headlight On), an LED tail light and a semi-digital instrument cluster that comes with a clock and a tripmeter.
It boasts a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres which is good enough for daily city commutes. The bike is said to be improved mechanically, with considerable optimisations done to its engine and chassis. The NVH levels have been improved too. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and 5-way adjustable Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear.
BS6 prices of the bike start from Rs 91,002 for the Neon variant. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS6 price for the standard and rear disc variant is Rs 97,958 and 1,01,837 respectively. All prices, ex-showroom Delhi. This makes the standard Pulsar 150 pricier than its BS4 counterpart by Rs 8,998.
Design and Features
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 carries over the tried and tested design of the earlier model, but with slight alterations. The new Pulsar 150 2018 looks a bit meaner, thanks to the revised bodywork, the inclusion of new dual-tone colour schemes and aggressive stance. Up front, it sports a halogen headlamp with AHO for enhanced vision irrespective of the weather or light conditions. Further, it comes with twin-pilot lamps, fatter telescopic forks and a tiny windscreen that adds to its aerodynamics. The graphics on the fuel tank, front fender and other body panels make the bike look sporty. Adding to its sportiness are components like split grab rails, LED tail lamp and split seats. It gets a semi-digital instrument cluster, with an analogue tachometer and digital displays for the speedometer, odometer and the tripmeter. It also gets a clock, a low-fuel indicator and a pass switch. The standard Pulsar, with a rear drum brake, is offered in five colours including Black Pack, Chrome Black, Laser Black, Dyno Red and Nuclear Blue. The twin-disc variant, however, is available only in an exclusive Blue colour for now.
Engine and Performance
The updated Pulsar 150 continues to draw power from the 149cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, twin spark, DTS-i engine, that is now being BS6-compliant. The BS6 motor makes 14PS at 8500rpm and 13.2Nm at 6500rpm. In comparison, the BS4 motor produced 14PS of max power at 8000rpm and 13.4Nm of peak torque at 6000rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is more refined than before and Bajaj claims to have made significant improvements in NVH which should result in a smoother, vibration-free ride.
Braking and Handling
The naked bike from Bajaj rides on fatter 37mm telescopic front forks and 5-way adjustable Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear. On the braking front, it gets a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum as standard, while the high-spec variant is equipped with 260mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes for enhanced control and safety. The rear tyre is now wider than the one on the previous model, which further adds to stability on rough surfaces. The 17-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in 80/100-17 section front and 120/80-17 section rear tyres that are grippy enough on wet roads.
Safety and Features
Stopping power comes from the combination of a front disc and a rear drum brake on the standard Pulsar 150. And with the addition of a rear disc brake, the braking power has been taken a step further, certainly a welcome addition. It also comes with AHO.
